The Centre was founded by community volunteers who have devoted almost 20 years of hard work and risk taking in developing programs to assist area wildlife.

However, these volunteers could not have been successful if their concern and vision of what could be done to help wildlife had not been shared and supported by many members of the community.

The list of supporters includes companies like Nortel, TD Friends of the Environment, foundations like the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Community Foundation of Ottawa, along with other charitable foundations both in Canada and the United States, many local business and professional firms and, of course, individuals.

As the Centre embarks on a new era in broadening its outreach to make a difference for wildlife, it will particularly need to rely on individuals in the community. We hope you will join us, not only in providing annual support but in considering a bequest to the Centre as part of your estate planning. It will ensure that future generations can enjoy the abundant wildlife and greenspace we have come to appreciate, but must not take for granted, in this region.
